January 2010 – Helen’s Hope assisted a family with their heating bill and helped
to supplement the cost of a hospital stay not covered by insurance.  

December 2009 – Helen’s Hope assisted a family with their mortgage payment,
and helped another family keep their home warm as the cold winter months
approach.  Eleven families received all the trimmings for a holiday meal plus gift
cards to purchase fresh food and necessities.  In the spirit of the holiday season,
Helen’s Hope sponsored a family with seven children providing funds to
purchase holiday gifts and groceries.  

October 2009 – Helen’s Hope assisted a patient with their monthly rent while
waiting disability benefits.

September 2009 – Helen’s Hope assisted a family with their monthly mortgage
payment, gifted funds to a family to help relieve some financial stress,
supplemented co-payments for a hospital stay and purchased grocery gift cards.

August 2009 – Helen’s Hope covered the co-payments for needed medication
for three months and gifted funds to a family to help with daily expenses.

July 2009 - Helen’s Hope delivered two comfort care baskets, assisted with
needed dental care, and provided comfort to a patient in treatment by purchasing
a bed and bedding.

June 2009 - Helen’s Hope reinstated phone service for a family in need.

May 2009 – Helen’s Hope covered the monthly health insurance premium for a
young man battling cancer while out of work.  Funds to purchase needed clothing
and supplies for a family of six were gifted by Helen’s Hope.  Helen’s Hope
assisted a patient unable to work and struggling to make ends meet while
undergoing breast cancer treatment by covering her monthly mortgage
payment.     

April 2009 – Helen’s Hope received a special request to participate in bringing
much needed joy and happiness to a young boy and his family who have
suffered a great loss and the effects of the Chernobyl disaster.   Tickets to the
Walt Disney World theme park in Orlando FL were provided by Helen’s Hope
along with Disney Dollars.  Additional Disney Dollars were donated directly to the
family by supporters of Helen’s Hope.   

February 2009 – Helen’s Hope assisted a patient with monthly living expenses
to provide some relief and breathing room.

January 2009 – Helen’s Hope kept a hospice patient and his family warm by
securing heat for the upcoming winter months.  

December 2008 - Helen's Hope distributed certificates for groceries to two
families, reinstated phone service and provided a special Holiday for a family of 5
touched by cancer. Helen's Hope assembled 7 holiday baskets filled with all the
fixings for a ham or turkey dinner.

November 2008 - Helen's Hope held a food drive and distributed groceries and a
complete Thanksgiving dinner to 15 families. Helen's Hope reinstated gas
service to provide essentials such as heat and hot water for a family in
preparation of the winter months ahead. Rent for one month was paid to assist a
gentleman undergoing treatment. Gift certificates were provided to a single
woman for groceries and prescriptions while out of work during treatment.  
Helen's Hope purchased a supply of Ensure to help nourish a patient.      


October 2008 - Helen's Hope helped to provide a much needed prescription not
covered by insurance for a woman undergoing treatment. Two additional Comfort
Baskets were distributed.

September 2008 - Helen's Hope helped a young mother and her children
prepare for the upcoming school year by providing funds to purchase needed
school supplies and clothing.    

August 2008 - Helen's Hope will be recognized as an honorary contributor at the
Breast Cancer and Environment Research Center annual conference.  This
conference, held in November in Birmingham Alabama, will be attended by many
young researchers, cancer advocates and survivors.  Helen's Hope delivered two
hospice care baskets.    

July 2008 -  Helen's Hope assisted a family with medical expenses and co
payments that resulted from treatments of breast cancer.  Helen's Hope
purchased a post-operative knee brace for young man diagnosed with clear cell
sarcoma.

June 2008 - Helen's Hope distributed two hospice comfort baskets, helped offset
the cost of compression garments for a breast cancer patient, assisted with
prescription co payments to a recently diagnosed gentleman, and assembled a
gift basket for a benefit to raise funds for a single woman battling breast cancer.  

May 2008 - Helen's Hope provided the gift of time by uniting a young man with his
terminally ill mother.  Transportation arrangements coordinated by Helen's Hope
enabled this young man to spend precious time with his mother and family.  

April 2008 - Helen's Hope delivered 2 hospice care baskets, reinstated phone
service and provided groceries to a cancer patient in need.

March 2008 - Helen’s Hope purchased compression garments for a breast
cancer patient who suffers from chronic lymphoedemia.

February 2008 - Helen’s Hope provided a comfort basket to a young terminally ill
patient along with a certificate to purchase much needed clothing.

January 2008 - Helen's Hope assembled three hospice care baskets which
contained comfort items such as lotions, tea, blankets, soft pillow, hard candy
and fun reading.  These baskets were donated to two local hospice
organizations for distribution to patients and their families.  

December 2007 - Helen's Hope spread some holiday cheer providing two
families with funds to have a very special holiday for their children.  Helen's Hope
paid one month's rent to one family in hopes that a much needed surgery can be
scheduled.  

October 2007 - Helen's Hope provided Acme food gift certificates to a family in
need.
